Bruce Wayne confronts Alfred Pennyworth in the hospital about the truth behind his parents’ deaths. After learning from Falcone that his father had a man killed, Bruce grapples with the realization that Thomas Wayne may not have been a good man. Alfred maintains that Thomas simply wanted to protect Bruce’s mother, and was distraught at how Falcone had carried out his wish. Thomas planned to confess, but it remains unclear whether he and Martha were murdered by Falcone as a result.
