Surface Precision Mouse

Yes, more things! I just got the Surface Precision Mouse. There are some things that people should know about a wireless mouse you should know. Don’t get me wrong, everyone has their own opinions and all but there are just major points on a wireless mouse and / or keyboards that make sense for all ages to know.

First, Bluetooth. You, young people, don’t know this but this signal was only made in 1994. It was meant for short-range connectivity from one device to another device. Version one, the signal had to be a clear range from both devices. nothing in between it like body parts or walls. Version two, had a bit more range and can somewhat go through wood, not metal. This means you can have your phone in your left pocket and your Bluetooth headset in your right ear. You can also transfer files from one device to another. Version three, well you get the idea!

The feel. the feel of the mouse is important. Is it adaptable on screen and for your needs? Are the buttons hard clickers or are they soft? Are there any “easy to get to” extra buttons that you can program? Is the laser also adaptable to matt or glossy surfaces? For me, I didn’t want anything to complicated because my Surface Book 3 is a touch screen. But one feature that I have to say is totally new to me is the fact that you can now have one Bluetooth device link to more than one device. Because of that, the mouse can jump from one screen on one PC or laptop to another screen on another PC or laptop.

Power, the one pain in the ass if you buy the wrong device. Listen I am all for a wireless device but it needs a good power source. The problem with most wireless devices is that at 2 am when your double-A batteries die and you don’t have any more you’ll have to either plug in a wired mouse or you’ll have to go find a 24-hour shop to buy batteries. OR! I always recommend a wireless device that comes with a detachable wire and a built-in rechargeable battery. You can charge and use the mouse at the same time, use the mouse wirelessly whenever you want. This is the reason why I went with the Surface Precision Mouse instead of the Surface Arc Mouse.

Surface series has 2 types of mice.

The Surface Arc Mouse

Its Slim, light, and ready to travel, Surface Arc Mouse is designed to conform to your hand and snaps flat to fit easily in your bag. Connects via Bluetooth. Available in a choice of rich colors¹ to complement your style.

The one I purchased is mostly different from each other

• Flawless detent or smooth scrolling and precise on-screen movement.

• Personally customizable¹—three programmable buttons help you get more done quickly and intuitively

• More multi-tasking power—use with up to three computers at the same time
