If the year 2020 doesn’t expose how stupid people are it will surely expose how greedy they are. I’m talking about Youtube’s new terms of service that started on November 18.
My business, Drawlines Branding & Marketing, doesn’t do video. We forward all video work to Drawlines Studio. Unlike other photography studios in New Jersey, Drawlines Studio made that a goal and is another way to help the customers. When Drawlines Studio completes the wedding projects, photo albums, printed thank you cards, printed envelopes, printed posters of couples or sweet sixteens, photography, videography, photo booth services, DJ services, flower services, makeup services all of it is thanks to different vendors that agreed to let Drawlines Studio take care of the financial monthly payments set for the clients. After everything is said and done one of the benefits of working along side with Drawlines Studio is the publicity, the video advertising of all these services. We have our video behind the scenes, video albums, slideshows and so on, on Youtube… Youtube has never approved of advertising on any of our videos. Most of the time it’s cause of the music that plays in each video or the fact that Youtube and / or Google has shitty communication with small businesses. Either way… Putting ads on a Youtube video when it’s not authorized is a big no no.
I linked a video for you to literally see the terms of use for yourselves but why would Youtube put up rules that say we can not have ads and get paid by them without 5,000 views of a video but now the rules we are placing ads until you get 5,000 views but then we will think about paying you? I think it’s time for us to leave youtube all together. Ugh… I already left Youtube Music cause Google Play cloesing and I was already iffy with google play for adding radio stations.
