IT’S TIME!!! To get rid of my work laptop. I love this laptop, the ASUS Republic of Gamers Asus G73SW-TZ083V. It’s so beautiful!!! Still, remember the first day I got it. The laptop had to be signed off and cause there was no one home at that time I kept missing it. So my brother and I took a road trip to pick it up from the UPS location. So there we are, 8pm at a UPS location hanging out enjoying our new laptops for an hour.

Mainboard: Intel HM65
Storage:  1TB , 7200 rpm, two-hybrid hard drives with 2TB in total

It was a beautiful machine, we both paid $3,000 each but the important thing is that it lasted 11 years. Now I’ve passed it down to a kid I know will take care of it as well as I have. It’s slower now cause the programs have grown so much. Adobe’s updates over the years have really made their program large. It’s not bad though, the changes and advancements Adobe have done over the years really expanded the potential for great graphic design and artworks in a timely manner.

The reason why I’m bringing up my PC is because of my business. Like I have mentioned plenty of times already my business will always be working remotely and adaptable to as many situations as possible. So for me to go from a laptop back to a PC is great but only cause of the power it gives out. My plan is to put this PC together and purchase a tablet that will remotely link to the PC when I need to work outside the office. Will this work… I got no idea!! But if this works out this will be the method that my employees or freelancers and I will work. If my client wants me to work out of his / her office or I have a meeting somewhere other than my work area I’ll take the tablet with me and get the work done through the PC. I’ve attached The amazon pages for anyone that is interested in all or some of the parts that make up this beast.

So, what do I have going on in the office?

Motherboard: Asus ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Formula AM4 Zen 3 Ryzen 5000 & 3rd Gen Ryzen ATX Motherboard

Asus had several motherboards with similar names but I had my eyes set on this one. I have to keep going with ASUS, their product was good to me for 11 years and its still going. I want this PC I’m building to hopefully last for another 10 years

NEW CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S, Premium Dual-Tower CPU Cooler with NF-A15 PWM 140mm Fan (Brown)

This CPU Cooler is worth the money, it is definitely strong. I’ve seen other examples of people using this cooler and they said it was a pretty tight fit. You’ll lose access to your closest DDR Ram slot. On the positive side, you can actually flip the heat syncs so you can push the hot air straight up or to the left. FWY, don’t ever push the heat to the front of the tower when you have fans in the front pushing cool air inside. I purchased a second fan and placed it under, closer to the graphics card to help the graphics card push the heat from the graphics card up and out the tower. Does it risk pushing heat from

Graphics Card: ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080TI Overclocked 11G GDDR6 HDMI DP 1.4 USB Type-C Gaming Graphics Card

This is a graphics card… that is it! Well, it’s alright!! I’m not the best in overclocking computers but I’ve been able to overclock 15ish percent over the 100% limit. But those people that want to give overclocking a try just remember it burns up your hardware so be very careful or you’ll be paying for new parts. I spent $4500 on this PC, I’m not wasting that money in 6 months!!

DDR SDRAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 128GB (4 x 32GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600)

Hard Drives: Mushkin Enhanced Pilot-E M.2 2280 2TB PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe

Overall this is a massive power-hungry machine. All the programs run smoothly and I don’t see this PC losing speed any time soon.  The specs for my PC is up to par compared to what a modern PC in a work environment and high-end gaming PCs should be. This is an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core, 24-thread. I could have gotten higher… but my price limit was $500, an AMD Ryzen 9 3950 24-core was about $800. I have 128GB DDR RAM. I’ll write up an update to this experience in 2 to 4 years but my goal is to keep this device for another 15 years.

Also, look who else is an ASUS fan! Superman himself.
