In the Batcave, Batman is ambushed by his alternate self, who tries to convince him that seizing power will end all crime. Batman surrenders when his counterpart suggests that under better conditions, they may never have been orphaned. Back on the streets of Gotham City, Batman witnesses the flaws in this all-powerful system.
