For those of you that played that amazing Injustice: God’s Among Us video game, or just love that fighting game storytelling type games. Injustice 2 is just amazing, don’t get me wrong, we got Marvel vs Capcom’s amazing gameplay and simple storytelling then we got Mortal Combat amazing. DC comics did good here! This is that Mortal Kombat!!
For those of you that don’t know, or just lives under a rock Injustice 2 is the super-powered sequel to the hit game Injustice: Gods Among Us that allows players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favorite DC characters. Featuring a massive selection of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains, players can personalize iconic DC characters with unique and powerful gear earned throughout the game. Additionally, for the first time, gamers can take control of how their characters look, fight, and develop across a variety of game modes.
Players can choose from the biggest DC roster ever offered in a fighting game, from classic fan favorites such as Batman, Superman, Supergirl, The Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and Blue Beetle, to astonishing new villains like Atrocitus, Gorilla Grodd and Deadshot. Now, that’s not even the best part.
The storyline is set within an alternate version of the Justice League’s universe. In this reality, Superman becomes a tyrant and establishes a new world order after the Joker tricks him into killing Lois Lane and destroying Metropolis with a nuclear bomb. In an effort to stop this, Batman summons counterparts of the League’s members from another universe to join his insurgency and end the totalitarian regime.
Injustice 2 announced 4 new playable characters and YESSS! It’s the dream team of all time, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And it’s not even those wack ass cartoons. It’s that amazing, classic 1990s movie. I’ll tell you one thing, I will buy this game just so I can actually play as those turtles. It has always been a dream to see these turtles as they were in the 1990s movie, even in TMNT 2, in more… movies, games, anything else. And boy was I right!!
