For those of you who have heard of the name/word “Cloverfield” You already know how this kind of started, which I will link the trailer down below. When I saw the movie I thought it was pretty interesting that America kind of had there full-blown large monster-ish thing destroying city skyscrapers… but now… not so much! (Just letting everyone know if you have watched these movies and are confused and hate it and was wondering why would you bother? I said the same thing buuut watch the last youtube video and someone has explained the connection between the 3 movies, and much more about J.J. Abrams, Slusho, Alias, Fringe, and more.)

Starting in (2008) Cloverfield, a monster rampages through modern-day NY movie was made, I thought it was pretty good. Though my eyes kind of started to hurt do to the movies first person viewer style recording (I don’t know if anyone ever used that phrase before but if not Drawlines said it first! “first-person viewer” ). I thought this was going to be a monster type movie series, kinda like Godzilla but it kind of went to far to the left with the 2nd movie. Then 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016) came out and it was a bit overpraised, it was about people getting abducted and kept in a psycho’s bunker that had nothing to do with the previous film, except for a conspiracy of alien energy?
The Cloverfield Paradox was originally set to play in theaters, but Paramount Pictures sold it to Netflix, then tried to preview the movie right after the Super Bowl. It was Netflix’s frantic attempt to win eyeballs before the reaction to the movie could leak out. For “The Cloverfield Paradox” is a mind-boggling mixture of almost every scary sci-fi space movie made while trying to get people to forget that Cloverfield is a monster movie. This third movie literally has nothing to do with the 1st or 2nd movies at all. Unless you count the crazy guy in the news within the movie talking about demons and a one strategically placed but staggeringly arbitrary monsterish thing.
So what are you getting yourself into? In “The Cloverfield Paradox,” a team of international scientists are on a space station. They try to save Earth by creating the first oversized battery that will give unlimited energy to everyone on the planet. Something goes wrong, the earth vanishes and shit gets IHOP crazy!! “Drawlines, define IHOP crazy?!” Its when things get to much while you just want something to eat, so after shit hits the fan you go to IHOP to calm down and have some pancakes! I don’t want to spoil all the crazy but let’s just say its got something to do with worms, a lazy eye, and an arm moving around after braking off a character’s body, like that hand from the Adams Family!
