DC Studios will be rebooting Superman? Why? Henry Cavill played a perfect Superman, DC Studios sucks!
Look, I’ll be honest I’m not a fan of DC Studios. Don’t get me wrong the characters are ok. The characters are also old as fuck! But they are always updating and maintaining their backstories. DC Studios came out with Man of Steel and I liked the movie, other people didn’t because “Superman let so many people die”. But the way a good story works is that you take a copy of reality and then throw in one creative twist and see what that creative twist does to the people in this copy of reality and turn it into a story that people want to read or watch. It’s that simple. But if you are a great writer then how you write this story is extremely important. How do you present it in a way to keep people’s eyes on the screen or book?
Marvel… Ya, I said it! Has a combination of little jokes and easter eggs throughout their movies that keep people guessing and smiling when the movie needs them to pay attention so when the main parts of the story start to unfold everyone is paying attention. DC movies don’t really do that. And I get it. This is an all-serious movie. But there has to be a way of keep people locked on the story. In the movie, Justice League as bad as that movie was because there were just so many missed opportunities I kinda still liked it. Thank you, Batman and Flash for keeping us entertained!! Batman has what I kinda have… Dark humor.
Why make it a “reboot”? If it was me it would be an extension to the original Man of Steel movie. All it takes is Flash to go step on a butterfly or something!
So…Ta-Nehisi Coates and J.J. Abrams’ reboot film will be a black Superman movie. “Will audiences be introduced to a Black Superman? That is the intent and something that the studio has been trying to find a way in for months if not a year or two, according to sources,” THR reporter Borys Kit tweeted.
“There is a new, powerful, and moving Superman story yet to be told. We couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with the brilliant Mr. Coates to help bring that story to the big screen, and we’re beyond thankful to the team at Warner Bros. for the opportunity,” J.J. Abrams said in a statement to Shadow and Act.
“Ta-Nehisi Coates’s Between the World and Me opened a window and changed the way many of us see the world,” added Toby Emmerich, Chairman, Warner Bros. Pictures Group. “We’re confident that his take on Superman will give fans a new and exciting way to see the Man of Steel.”
“It’s tough. I hate being a businessman and understanding both sides of the situation,” Michael B. Jordan said. “There is a huge upside to it, but being under that microscope, being picked apart and compared to so many different versions of Superman… I would rather do something original. I’ll be Calvin Ellis.”
