So if you guys have been on top of Drawlines Misfits posts then you’ll know that there is a big FAT issue going on at the Warner Brothers business and the studios that get funded by the WB. (click here to look back on our article about the issue) But hey Gal Gadot bought a house with that money she was really close to losing from the mess Warner Brothers made.

Wonder Woman 1984 pulled in an estimated $16.7 million of the box office total came from U.S. and Canadian theaters and $36.1 million at worldwide theaters over the Christmas holiday weekend and boosted streaming viewership on HBO Max, Warner Brothers said on Sunday they confirmed plans for a third film. The movie ranked as the highest domestic opening since the COVID pandemic shuttered theaters in March, but the numbers were a fraction of usual receipts for a big-budget action flick. The 2017 Wonder Woman film opened with $103.2 million domestically. With two-thirds of North American theaters closed, Warner Brothers opted for an unusual arrangement, making “WW84” available at the same time to U.S. customers of AT&T’s HBO Max streaming service.

Millions watched the film on HBO Max, the company said in a statement, but it did not specify how long they tuned in. Total viewing hours on the platform tripled this past Friday Friday compared with a typical day in the previous month, the statement said. The movie “exceeded our expectations across all of our key viewing and subscriber metrics in its first 24 hours on the service,” said Andy Forsell, executive vice president and general manager of WarnerMedia Direct-to-Consumer. Which I think is greaaaatttt….? Kinda?! Again if you read our last article the problem is if this movie bombed because of the streaming service then movie theaters are still a thing of the future. If other movie companies see this as a win? AMC and other movie theater businesses are about to declare bankruptcy. Unless they close down another portion of their theaters to make or join a streaming service for themselves.

Warner Brothers said it would accelerate development of a third Wonder Woman movie also written and directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot. Which, I guaranty movie theaters by then will be closing or having a hard time getting people to the doors.

I’m assuming that the movie was able to reach a certain amount of income to complete Gal Gadots contract and for here to get $10 million instead of whatever lower number of millions she was supposed to get because right after the news broke that Wonder Woman was a success… just bought a house. What, she’s an actress, the hell did you think she was going to do!! 2,000-square-foot oceanfront condo in celeb-friendly Malibu if I remember correctly. Though, again, the fuck? What the hell is the purpose of getting a 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom condo? 3 bathrooms? What the hell do you do on your toilet for you to tell your man or woman to go use the other… other bathroom?! LOL!!

Still, the view is nice, waist of money if you ask me. I would have used that money and bought off 4 or 5 houses somewhere, put them up for rent, start a business to collect said money, and help the little people with families out instead of just showing up to a hospital and waving “hi” to a camera next to a kid with cancer wearing the movie outfit. I’m just throwing it out there! If I had income from Youtube videos or ads from this social media website, that’s what my plan would have been. a win-win, families can afford rent, I still get some type of pay to buy more houses to help more people.

My thoughts on the movie were, it was good. I liked that Wonder Woman’s evil nemesis was Cheetah. But it was a little underwhelming even though they made it a global situation. What if Superman was also saving the world at the same time? Why isn’t that a move?! Wonder Woman 3, Superman interferes with her plot only to fight Zodd again!! The movie was good till one point, then she started crying and the genie bad guy… went placccess? Don’t want to ruin the ending. Overall, I’m hoping that DC Comics will start bouncing heroes and villains from one movie to the next like… were is Mr. Freeze? Or that Ape villain from Flash?

What do you think about having movies play at the cinema and streaming at the same time? Hell… what would you do with 5 million?
